Updates and sharing
Pear checks for app updates when it opens. Choose Update and launch or Later; a failed check continues to Steam. Homebrew users should update through Homebrew. Older previews need one manual installation of this release.
Reporting is optional. Open Window → Run history to add a result, or Pear → Settings → Sharing to choose what to share. Nothing is sent until you confirm. Reporting and privacy
System requirements
- Mac with Apple Silicon
- macOS 15 or later
- Rosetta
- Internet access and a Steam account
- Several GB for setup, plus space for your games
The unchanged runtime has prior gameplay and owner-confirmed fresh-account installation evidence on M4 Pro / macOS 26.5.2. Earlier installation results do not qualify every later app version. The signed app and CLI also passed startup checks on macOS 15.7.9; Steam UI and gameplay on macOS 15 and other hardware remain unverified.
